It is very hard to dismiss the fact that senate democrats caving was an intentional gift to Donald Trump. He went to the Supreme Court trying to starve 42 million Americans and we all saw it. And as people fought that, they caved. They are not merely collaborators but wolves in sheep’s clothing.
anyway if dems think I'm gonna forget this shit in 5 months, they're wrong. if they think I'm gonna forget it in 5 years, they're wrong. they have fully convinced me that purging the party of these inept losers in the senate is more important than retaking the senate in the next election cycle

Now the 'Australian' government jails them as well, from the age of ten. Costs over $1 billion a year. Time it was invested in the children instead.

'There are between 3,000 and 3,500 Aboriginal people still alive across WA who were sent away to live with strangers under government policy.'
WA Stolen Generations redress scheme opens to right 'insidious' past
Survivors of the Stolen Generations in Western Australia can now apply for $85,000 in compensation as part of a government redress scheme.

My oldest directly called out the use of AI in their class and the teacher is literally ignoring them. They made students sign a "contract" at the beginning of the year saying they wouldn't use AI, but now have to be okay with the teachers using it. This country is cooked.
Feeling real deep despair, as a teacher, about how p much every school in the country is encouraging students to use the plagiarism-and-brain-damage dehumanization machines

The thing about the "I voted against this" position Schumer is taking is that either he is trying to mislead Dem voters by implying he didn't support reopening right now, or he has no control over his caucus.

I'll get back to "party unity" as soon as the Senate Minority Leader tells us if he voted for the Democratic party nominee for mayor of his city.

I'm tired of party unity only ever running one way.

It's not amnesia. It's reality avoidance and, in many cases, willful ignorance
