Same. Modt of my earliest clear memories are of being abused and neglected by school staff and volunteers, many of whom were the parents of my classmates. The rest are of being abused by family and their friends. This society and culture offer no comfort to anyone but the privileged.
I never once felt safe or comfortable in the US empire. Not a childhood memory, not an adult moment—just constant precarity, surveillance, and exploitation. This isn’t paranoia; it’s the system.
