I agree with this completely, but I also know this won't change at all. It's one of the big reasons that I know voting won't save anyone from anything. The populace isn't educated enough or literate enough to even grasp this most simple of concepts around voting, let alone more complex issues.
Even if you fully intend to vote for whoever the Democratic nominee ends up being, there’s a huge difference between doing that quietly in November 2028 and loudly announcing it years in advance with zero conditions attached.
What's the purpose of saying that there's no position so extreme that someone could lose your vote? Especially this far out? You're effectively giving possible candidates the all clear to move as far right as they'd like. This seems foolish.

Didn't see anyone bring up microwave ovens. They only exist because remote radar station operators in the Cold War would get cold and found they could warm up by standing in front of the radar antenna while it was active.
Can you think of examples where people use technologies differently from what the developers intended, whether unintentionally or as an act of resistance?
