The original Dem demands were:
1) Permanent ACA subsidies
2) Medicaid funding restored
3) No more blank checks for the regime (rescission)

They dropped Medicaid immediately. Went silent on rescission. Cut back to 1 year of subsidies on Friday. And surrendered today.

The Senate Democrats!

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

This.

For messaging purposes it’s important that we avoid saying ‘Dems caved’.

The reality is that *some Dems* caved to *all Republicans*, and we need to be careful to remind Dem voters of that.

Small comfort I know, but the last thing we want is ALL Dems to get blamed when most voted correctly.
I have to be careful and not blame all Dem Senators for the cloture vote on Sunday. It wasn’t a majority of the Dems. It was quite a few who aren’t up for reelection. So I don’t even know what they were thinking.
I will continue to support Dems - except for my Senator Fetterman who can rot in hell.

I believe the Pod Save America bros predicted that the Democrats would manage to blow the wins from Tuesday but I didn’t think it would take less than a week.

AOC: We know that Donald Trump has not only been convicted of committing crimes, but that the supreme court has given him a blank check to continue to commit crimes while in office. So we cannot underestimate the threat and the danger of this moment. But we cannot respond to that with cowardice.

Newsom: I cannot wait for all the punditry. Historic victories all across the United States of America. Proposition 50 winning by double digits. A new governor of New Jersey, a new governor in Virginia.

I’ll end as I began: thank you for giving a damn.

Hard to overemphasize how significant this is. Obama has been pressing for fair maps for years now, because that is what democracy looks like.
By aligning himself with California's efforts, he is acknowledging that we MUST do everything in our power to fight these lawless anti-American Republicans.

Yesterday, Stephen Miller questioned details re 170+ Americans detained by immigration agents.

“Abject lies,” he wrote.

Here’s the thing: We tracked, catalogued, and compiled every one of those 170+ cases.

Because...we do our homework.

So…$7.5 billion, then?

After cutting other funding of theirs by $130 billion or so?
Remember how Congressional leaders were worried that concern over rural hospitals might tank the budget bill? This led to inclusion of a $50 billion fund for Rural Health - but guess what - guidance from the Trump Administrations limits the amount rural hospitals can get to 15%.
