i feel like there's a void for an aesthetically immaculate, biologically detailed metroid-like with tons of weird systems play and secrets and combat, but difficulty somewhat de-emphasized. in some ways prime 1 was the closest.

now it's one thing if it's a core meltdown type situation. if your core's all fucked up it makes perfect sense that all the girders and concrete slabs would stop working at once. that's core stuff 101. but that's not a self-destruct sequence, that's just a destruct sequence. there's a difference.

classic mistake when designing a self destruct sequence for your secret base is making it so that the base starts spontaneously disintegrating *before* the countdown ends. buddy the whole point of the countdown is so your henchmen have time to get to their cars. why are the girders melting

I think a lot lately about how so many Black folks were hesitant to come to this site because many of us figured this is where it would go and I have never seen one person so utterly committed to single handedly burning any and all good will their site has accumulated like a five alarm gas fire.

ppl are sleeping on the magma bell in silksong. that thing isnt just for lava in the deep docks, it works on ANY fire-based attack from an enemy. it turns a bunch of the last judge's 2-mask attacks into 1-mask attacks. you hate 2-mask attacks, right? use your magma bell.
