The thing that sucks most about the delayed study sections is that as an ESI, presuming I don’t get a fundable score, I’m losing time to prepare a resubmission based on reviewer’s feedback.

🧠 Today is #WorldStrokeDay
Stroke rehab saves lives, but too many survivors aren’t getting the care they need.
📉 In the U.S.:
• 60% don’t receive adequate rehab
• Only 20% go to inpatient rehab
• 35% get no PT, 49% no OT, 62% no speech therapy

To be clear, there is NO association between acetaminophen and autism:

Since we’re in the process of being inundated with BS about the cause of autism, let’s take a look at some of the empirical studies in the literature on the link between acetaminophen and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Grab some popcorn and put on your 🧪 hats folks.

Trump: "I think I can say there are certain groups of people that don't take vaccines and don't take any pills that have no autism. Does that tell you something? Is that a correct statement, by the way? ... I'm not so careful with what I say."

Autism as a stand-alone diagnosis predates acetaminophen by 44 years.
If they can't even bother to do basic math, they can't be trusted to do the more complex science.

For those of you that don't remember - this is the data from a SINGLE dose. In December 2020. So good I cried in grateful tears.

I never know what to do with emails from clearly motivated undergraduates who address me as “Ms” and use chatGPT to write an inaccurate summary of a paper. Do I take the time to meet with them so I can teach them that these things are inappropriate? Or just delete and move on?
