Who is this mysterious woman behind the mask? Masquerade Gala for CASA is always a fun celebration.

Thanks to my hubby, who is on the board, and works tirelessly to help them meet their mission to help kids who need it most.

🧠 Today is #WorldStrokeDay
Stroke rehab saves lives, but too many survivors aren’t getting the care they need.
📉 In the U.S.:
• 60% don’t receive adequate rehab
• Only 20% go to inpatient rehab
• 35% get no PT, 49% no OT, 62% no speech therapy

“PM&R is the steward of subtle.”
Dr. Cindy Ivanhoe’s words at #AAPMR2025 captured what we do so well: noticing the nuanced shifts, the quiet recoveries, and the progress that hides in the gray zones. Healing isn’t always loud, but it’s always meaningful.

Some have criticized the definition for being too broad.
However, early research benefits from sensitivity over specificity. It helps us explore the full spectrum of post-COVID illness before narrowing it down by biomarkers or subtypes.

I will always say yes to my daughter as long as she wants to go with her mom to ACL! Cheers to lots of sun, fun, and wearing boots for too long.

Highlight of my ACL weekend thus far? When Sabrina Carpenter brought out The Chicks as her surprise guests. (Does that age me with my excitement?)

Cool to see Will Toledo (of Car Seat Headrest) wearing a mask to perform at Austin City Limits. I found out he had Long Covid that stopped their touring in 2022. Glad to see them back! www.seattletimes.com/entertainmen...

This list from the AAP on pediatricians to follow for trustworthy content is great but also missing @drelizabethmurray.bsky.social, @shematologist.medsky.social, @oligoclonalband.medsky.social, and @peterhotezmdphd.bsky.social.

It's too biased towards Instagram creators IMO.

Didn’t get into medicine for the fame… but being named among the Top 2% of Scientists worldwide isn’t bad for a physiatrist 😉
