I start many of my talks on health disparities with this quote, and with a photo of my grandfather, who never had access to stroke rehab. This work will always be personal. #MLK

Had an incredible time at #Toxins2026 in Madrid! 🇪🇸
I presented on optimizing treatment for post‑stroke spasticity and shared several posters.
Always inspiring to connect with colleagues from around the world who are just as passionate about advancing neurotoxin science. 🧠✨

A patient recently asked me if my research was still going or if it had been cut by Trump. Thankfully, it hasn’t. But my federal Long Covid advisory committee was dissolved. That question got me thinking about the state of science in the U.S. right now. And honestly? It’s frustrating and sad. 🧵

Waking up in Paris to the news of another school shooting was heartbreaking. I planned to go to Notre Dame this morning and glad I did. I was so emotional that a lady in line in front of me gave me tissue.
Notre Dame, pray for us 🙏🏽

They asked for a doctor on an international flight for an infant.

Me, a PM&R doc: ‘Perfect! I’ve been waiting my whole life to flex Galeazzi and Ortolani at cruising altitude.’

(There were Pediatricians on the flight & my skills weren’t needed. Baby was good!) #PhySKYiatry
