One last WIP snippet from me for the #FallFrontFriday Fall Festival! Didn't finish this one but watch for it on a future Fall Front Friday...

“Hmmm.” Blackbeard traced an X with the point of his knife across the fall front of the Gentleman Pirate's teal breeches, his touch so light that it didn't even snag the satin cloth. The Gentleman shuddered.

“A fancy man with fancy clothes,” Blackbeard murmured. He flicked the knife-tip against one of the buttons that held up the fall, and the ringing of metal-on-metal echoed in the silent cabin.

“Oh, please,” the Gentleman whispered.

“Hmmm?” Blackbeard seemed distracted, mesmerized, as he delicately traced his knifepoint along the button’s embossed design.

“These—” Blackbeard didn’t look up, so the Gentleman cleared his throat and spoke a little louder, careful to remain respectful. “These are—they’re my favorite pants.”

Ed brings Stede’s hands down and places them on his thighs, just below the creases of his hips. Instinctively, Stede’s fingers clutch against the leather and Ed makes a strangled little sound in his throat. A restlessness seizes Stede’s legs and he rushes to draw them up from under the chair, to shift his body weight forward and rise onto his knees. He braces his hands against Ed’s thighs and feels his muscles tense through the leather. Ed’s eyes are wide, wisps of hair slipping free from his half-ponytail and framing his face.

That inch of skin is still showing, with the gray ghosts of the ink spots visible where Stede had tried to wipe them clean. He leans in and lets his lips brush over the stains, extending his tongue to lap at them and tasting the ink as a sharp and acrid echo mingled with the salt of Ed’s skin.

It’s decadent, the way the soft flesh gives under the pressure of his tongue, the way he feels Ed squirm and shift as he traces a lazy circle and then dips his tongue just below the waistband of his trousers.

“Fuck,” Ed mutters, his hands pressing Stede’s against his thighs, then dragging them up to the buttons of his fall. Stede pulls back reluctantly so he can see what he’s doing, finding it odd and backwards to be unbuttoning someone else’s pants. He’s additionally distracted by the pressure of what he knows is Ed’s trapped cock straining against the leather as he fumbles with the buttons.

I hope this letter finds you well. I'm sure you'll be pleased to know that, despite a few setbacks, the crew and I are well on our way to financial solvency. We've been offered an exciting opportunity to partner with Spanish Jackie—THE Spanish Jackie!—on a new entertainment venture that draws upon my extensive background in the theatrical arts and makes good use of the crew's varied talents. It's a rather saucy performance style that I can only assume originates from France—perhaps in all your travels, you've already experienced this so-called “burlesque”?

Jackie has been personally coaching the Swede for his headlining performance, which is, for the moment, shrouded in secrecy (though soon to be un-shrouded, if you get my drift!). The rest of the crew is choreographing their acts, and Wee John has already outdone himself in the area of costume construction. As I have a free moment during a break in our rehearsals, allow me to describe his most recent, ingenious design.

Imagine, if you will, a standard set of fall-front breeches, but considerably briefer, if you catch my meaning. And rather than canvas or satin, they are constructed of a rather exquisite lace material. (This detail is, frankly, lost on most of the crew, but I'm certain that you would apprehend its quality immediately!) And to Wee John's credit, when he realized that buttons would pull and distort the delicate material, he constructed quite an elegant system of lacing ribbons on either side of the fall. As you can imagine, this allows the wearer to extend his performance time via the slow unlacing of the ribbons, thus creating maximum anticipation in the audience, and hopefully thereby generating maximum tips (though, even more hopefully, not creating the sort of frustration that could lead to violence! Jackie’z does tend to attract a rougher crowd…)

I believe he has just completed construction on the prototype of this intriguing garment, so perhaps soon a lucky crewmember will have the chance to test it out. John won't reveal who the fortunate fellow is to be; when I asked him, he simply said the wearer should be “definitely a show-er” (?) with “great gams” (??). I only wish you were here to elucidate this terminology! Regardless, I can imagine that the effect will be quite invigorating. Perhaps a private showing can be arranged, once we are reunited.
