Thanks Adam! This is what we love to see of course ….
Look at this. Question Time, but with people who actually know what they’re talking about. 4 biologists. And Brian Cox. Come!
A science AMA, but in real life!? And with 5 scientists instead of just one!?!?!?! Kaboom

Come to @crick.ac.uk on 28th March to ask questions of @pontus-skoglund.bsky.social, @poojaswali.bsky.social and @adamrutherford.bsky.social and me with noted keyboardist Brian Cox.

A wonderful film shining a light on the prizes and pitfalls of scientific publishing…
Scientists are facing information overload as more than a million biomedical research papers are published every year. 📚

@drbeth.bsky.social investigates why so many, the rise of preprints, what it all means for peer review and how publishing could change.

Wondering if same effects found with other viruses?
Our new study shows that SARS-CoV-2 spike protein accumulates & persists in the body for years after infection, especially in the skull-meninges-brain axis, potentially driving long COVID. mRNA vaccines help but cannot stop it🔬🧠🦠🧵Your weekend read👇

Thanks for doing this Beth! So helpful.
So I did a bit of a search around and these are the past and present Francis Crick Institute folks that I could find.

I can't guarantee they're talking about science, but if they are, you know it's going to be cool science 😉

A doctor told me recently “you’re either a cancer family, or an inflammation family”. I thought it was a bit unlikely….but perhaps not then 🤔
"Research shows that patients with a history of #cancer are less likely to develop dementia and those with Alzheimer's are less likely to develop cancer. Understanding this relationship, say scientists, could lead to new treatments."
