Call for Papers Oxford Ethnography and Education Conference Monday 8th to Wednesday 10th September 2025 We look forward to a continuing stream of international discussion that focuses on educational contexts and issues through ethnographic approaches. The conference will be held again at New College Oxford and is planned as an entirely in-person event. We always have a large representation from outside the UK and we hope this will continue. As many of you know, we publish a journal, Ethnography and Education, for which papers from the Oxford Ethnography Conference provide a rich resource. Conference registration costs – not including accommodation – are as follows: • Early Bird Registration – register and pay by Friday 16th May 2025. Academic Staff - £385 PhD Students - £250 • Full Registration (from 17th May 2025 onwards) Academic Staff - £435 PhD Students - £300 • A reduction of 1/3 applied to the full fees is available for academics and students from universities situated in the global south. Academic Staff - £145 PhD students - £100 Fee concessions are available for delegates from universities based in the global south (for which we align with the BISA list of countries). Proof of institutional status will be required (e.g. email account). Please note that while the conference is able to provide invitation letters, we are not able to support with visa applications or travel arrangements which are the responsibility of the delegate. The registration fee includes tea and coffee on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday. Breakfast will only be included if you book accommodation in New College. Accommodation at New College will appear on the conference booking website. Please note: refunds are only at the discretion of the conference committee. Abstracts should be sent as a word document on an email attachment using the template at the bottom of this email to Jonathan Tummons (jonathan.tummons@durham.ac.uk) by Friday 28th February 2025.
