Any Irish govt depts, agencies, etc on BlueSky : follow them, like and repost their posts. Show them were here and it’s worth it for other public bodies to follow them from the dark side

Does anyone know what the story was where Patrick St (Dublin) was closed by Gardai this morning? There was no sign of any flooding and it caused chaos on one of the biggest arteries of traffic into the city

We are opening an investigation into Grok because we believe that X may have breached the DSA.

We have seen antisemitic content, non-consensual deepfakes of women, and child sexual abuse material.

In Europe, no company will make money by violating our fundamental rights.

We just need our government and its agencies to enforce existing laws and take this more seriously

Both had their images taken, deepfaked and shared by the same man.

Their personal info and social media were linked to the deepfake edited images of them, leading to unwanted contact.

They're calling for enforcement of the law in Ireland in the wake of Grok and let victims know they're not alone.

I think the #twitter CSAM fiasco is the first time the government has so visibly ceded an area of law to big business. Of course it's been happening quietly for years but this marks a turning point of something so obviously illegal just being ignored by lawmakers in case it upsets the US. #speirgorm

Instead of conducting expensive scientific research (that’s already been done), governments around the world should simply issue statements advising the public not to use US government sites for advice: ie issue a health warning

In Dublin, on Fenian Street, there's a factory that makes child sex abuse material.

You can pay it money, as a subscription, and that's one of the services it offers. This doesn't happen by mistake or because you've tricked or hacked the system.

It’s a feature.

In 2003 I watched US troops roll in to the oil rich Iraqi city of Kirkuk and roll straight out the other side to take up defensive positions around the oil refinery.
