The ICC’s arrest warrants are long overdue.

The Prime Minister & Foreign Secretary must immediately endorse this decision. That is the bare minimum.

Will the UK government now, finally, honour its international obligations to prevent genocide and end all arms sales to Israel?

When first started working I worked for a large company which had a union, excellent T&Cs,pay etc and company made a good profit everyone happy, Now same company no union, small core of permanent workers with terrible T&Cs and the rest are on zero hours contracts, can be sent home at a moment's notice
Without trade unions & the workers willing to back them we wouldn’t have

• a minimum wage

• maternity & paternity rights

• pension provision

• holiday & sickness entitlements

victories which have benefited every single person in this country

Still remember how farmers not only didn't protest Brexit, they actually supported it.

And they still do.

Stupid.

40% of UK Farmland is owned by billionaires.

Now you know why they are so angry it will be taxed.

Why do 70,000 'farmers' think they should own 90% of the UK forever and never pay tax.

While the other 68,930,000 have the other 10% to share and must pay tax.

The ultimate elitist BS.

I would like to speak up today for the trans community.

You see, I know a bit of what it’s like to be politically scapegoated. When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, suddenly anyone in America who had any amount of Japanese ancestry became suspect. Politicians preyed upon ignorance and fear. /1

This country is so messed up

No child should have to go through this
This is awful & heartbreaking. Schoolchildren from struggling families have pretended to eat out of empty lunchboxes to save their embarrassment at having no food.

Ending child poverty must be a priority for the Government

Milton Keynes children 'pretending to eat from empty lunchboxes'
More than one in three children in Milton Keynes are living in poverty, an organisation says.

Only the richest 4% of people pay Inheritance Tax.

Only the richest 1.5% of farmers will pay HALF Inheritance Tax spread over 10 years.

This is a protest funded by the obscenely wealthy who want to pay no tax at all.

Scots word of the day: "Drookit." It means soaked to the bone. "It's a dreich [grey, depressing] day the day, Ah cannae go oot or Ah'll get drookit!" And getting drookit would mek ye crabbit. [grouchy]

In the late 90s & early 2000s we in the UK received (very roughly) 80,000 asylum applications per year.
Mainly people escaping Balkan wars.

Today in these “unprecedented” times of “invasion” by small boat… we receive pretty much the exact same numbers.

Had you been taken in?
I wouldn’t blame you.

My word of the day (and personal recommendation) is ‘snerdling’ (18th century): nestling cosily beneath the covers and holding off the day a little longer.

Morning.
