Sifted through a bunch of the poems I've been reading out for the past year or so and collected them into a new chapbook. Holding off on putting the PDFs up until I've moved some stock, but also I'm a pushover if you ask.

For both issues of @readeasel.bsky.social I grabbed the PDF along with a physical copy, and the PDF is nice, but it always pales in comparison to the real thing.

What if Coffee and Cigarettes but Parents and Lost Time. Quiet and awkward (complimentary) and just beautifully shot. Glad they still let Jimmy make movies.

wish the "keep up with writers and other culture producers" platform wasn't also the "minute by minute minutia of of how fucked we are at any given moment" platform.

tfw there's a historian who's digging into areas you're greatly interested in but you have fundamental disagreements about some of her base assumptions.

I keep trying to find my way in to writing about Samantha Dorsett. The inevitable comparisons to my own life and the ways we made different choices. The old punk and DIY communities I skimmed along the surface of that she inhabited and shaped. My skimming along the surface of everything back then.

Curious how deep @kierongillen.bsky.social and Stephanie Hans’s Die is going to get into the prejudices of late-adult/early-middle-aged cis and cis-ish women who ended up married or in partnerships with self-denying transfems and trans women. (for — reasons)

If you learned something from somebody’s cruelty, the praise goes to you, and the thanks goes to people who supported you afterwards. Asshole pedagogy does so much more harm than good.

Went to a party last night and, in general, had a great time. However, I also heard a grown ass adult woman say “oh, Portlandia? I watched that show as a kid and loved it” and to be honest, I’m still recovering from the psychic damage.

Generationally, a foreign country to me — my own brief he/they arc being a disastrous affair. Even so, when it hits it hits which is how poetry usually goes. Also, I’ll never look at Mark Hamil quite the same way again.

Today I'm thinking of a handful of different comic creators I read in the 90s and 00s who, in retrospect, probably had a ton of gender shit going on and who I hope are able to find their way to a better life. For no reason.
