Fedora 43 was released yesterday, but we're not switching to an F43 base yet. F43 includes a switch from RPM 4 to RPM 6. This includes a change that breaks upgrades on atomic. A fix is in the works: github.com/coreos/rpm-o...

We'll switch to an F43 base once a fix is merged, tested, and shipped.

Big props to MILES Car & Van Sharing—I got in touch with their customer support because the app didn’t work on @grapheneos.org, ended up chatting with someone who was considering the switch to Graphene (!!) and…the developers have now updated the app to work on secure phones!

Robert Braxman is the perfect combination of Dr Nick and lawyer Lionel Hutz from The Simpsons. The sales patter of the former and questionable competence, ethics of the latter with the verified bonafides & qualifications of both.

Buy the Brax3 it's only $99.95 🤪😆
Robert Braxman has published another video spreading blatant misinformation about GrapheneOS in order to promote his highly insecure products and services. In addition to many false technical claims and fabrications about our team, he's falsely claiming the project is dying.

We have a thread already debunking this recent line of attack on GrapheneOS at bsky.app/profile/grap.... GrapheneOS quickly provided the June security patches, was ported to Android 16 and is working with a major Android OEM. It's not dying and we haven't said or implied it is.
Many companies and individuals are trying to mislead people about the future of GrapheneOS to promote their insecure products and services. GrapheneOS is not going anywhere. We've made it clear we're shipping Android 16 soon and that the supported devices will remain supported.

Ohhh, this is a juicy one! #ICEBlock misleading users! See how we responded #GrapheneaoS
bsky.app/profile/iceb...

Apple stores which devices/users install which apps. They have the device IDs. US government could obtain a list of people who installed the app if a court authorized it. Not clear what they mean by having to storing device IDs. Those IDs aren't accessible to Android apps.
Sorry, there will not be an Android version because there is no way to provide 100% anonymity. Each person's device ID would have to be stored and that information becomes discoverable should the government issue a subpoena.

Only iOS made this possible and completely protects the users.

- providing feedback from your experience with any issues you may encounter
Our initial highly experimental release based on Android 16 has been published for all sixteen of the supported devices (Pixel 6 through Pixel 9a). It should only be installed on a spare device you don't depend on. It won't brick devices but there will be broken functionality.

Call for testing frpm Stefan Sperling (stsp@) for users of bge(4)/bnx(4)/avf(4)/igc(4)/ix(4)/ixl(4)/ngbe(4) or pcn(4) Ethernet devices.

A patch is available for #OpenBSD -current, but applies to 7.7 sources as well (with some fuzz).

For the non-WebRTC issue being abused by Yandex, Chromium 137 shipped a fix for it behind a feature flag that's being gradually rolled out. We can roll this out to 100% of Vanadium users through a Vanadium Config update. We can start Alpha testing for that new flag later today.

Are you a GrapheneOS user with accessibility requirements where you benefit from TTS (Text to Speech)?

Please click through below to the thread outlining improvements we are looking to make in this area and how you could help contribute to make this happen.
We could use help narrowing down which of the available English models with open training data would be best (least bad) for basic text-to-speech usage including for TalkBack. We could also collect feedback somewhere on which ones people think are best overall across languages.

Okay Bluesky Tech, let's see if you can do this before X.

Can you help either personally or connect parties who can with us?

Reach out please or repost and get the word out, it all helps.

Let's make it a Bluesky success story!
We need an Android OEM or someone working at one to provide us with early access to the Android 16 sources in order to have a smooth port this year. We need this before June. We requested it to help with this very difficult situation and still need it.

One of our two senior developers has been forcibly detained and conscripted to participate in a war. When they first went missing, we revoked their repository access as a precaution. We soon learned their disappearance was completely unrelated to GrapheneOS. Our priority has been keeping them safe.
