I love Silksong to death but also am surprised I haven't seen this screenshot being used more widely. I see you Team Cherry, I see you.

I'm still processing it all but god damn there's a whole paper to be written about Silksong and HK as a meditation on parenthood and what it means to create life and the selfishness of imposing legacy on our children in ways that deny their personhood.

If anyone sees a tiktok or something being like ha ha this loser on my flight just spent an hour and a half dying to this early game Silksong enemy, that was me, I'll own it. 😇🕷

It's been so many years of the word "silksong" being a constant meme that the actual semantics of the name never really sunk in before playing it. The role of music and sound in this game is absolutely S-tier. I'm utterly blown away.

Okay but why does Bilewater's music of all places slap so hard? 😂☠️

The sound design of Silksong alone should win every award ever. (Yes every award, not just the one for sound design, that's how good it is.) 🔔🔔

I'm so happy and emotional and moved by the success of Mamdani's campaign, but definitely one of my biggest takeaways from this whole thing has been becoming a huge fan of Brad Lander.
"GOOD FUCKING RIDDANCE"

Fuck the @nytimes and all journalism that takes this passive "people are saying" approach to the truth. Democrats condemned the attack as unconstitutional BECAUSE IT IS. It's your job to say that. It's your job to contextualize and fact-check, not just quote both sides and shrug.

I'm starting to see posts like "but if you use LLMs intelligently they can be a great tool in learning, it's making knowledge accessible, you just have to use it right!" and like okay but then sort of by definition you are not doing anything you couldn't do without the LLM.

One way in which capitalism and cisheteropatriarchy are intertwined is in the pressure to extract continuing profit via "next gen" spinoffs, incentivizing compulsory heterosexuality in media. As such, we can see mpreg as an important tool in disentangling the patriarchocapitalist complex. In this es

An American flag built on the backs of Black people...

Black music protesting white political terror in registers they never hear; reminiscent of ancestral spirituals embedded with instructions for runaways

All this in New Orleans... What a moment

Kendrick really proving that ridicule is praxis
Drake’s fall from grace—from pop superstar to rap beef punchline—is proof that we as a nation can turn away from Trumpism with the proper amount of ridicule and grassroots communal celebration

I will not be taking questions at this time
this is the most patriotic I’ve felt since 9/11

I think an American flag created entirely by black men at the Superbowl is one of the best pieces of art I've seen in my lifetime. I hope it actually killed some folks. And I hope it finally closes the fucking book on the argument that we shouldn't use the flag to fight the God damned fascists.

Super Bowl blowouts usually suck but this one is a work of art, just a complete middle finger to everything that’s happening

I was playing a game with myself to see whether any commercial would legitimately make me laugh and this was the first one that did. 😅
Yay Meg Ryan and an ad for us old people!!!!

No kidding, this is one of my oldest nightmares. I refused to watch Sesame Street for a month when I was three after an ep where the Count's mustache started flying around onto everyone's face. I thought it was gonna come out of the screen and get me. I feel personally targeted by these commercials.
Man, being the second flying facial hair commercial of the Super Bowl must be so
embarrassing…

An American flag composed only of Black people kinda sick

I don't want to sound..... I dunno, insufficiently negative? But I was afraid this whole super bowl would have the vibe of jingoism and white supremacy and general celebration of the new regime but it hasn't? So far? I've found all the pregame and halftime performances really powerful.

Insofar as we understand "left," as a grand historical tradition, to mean a pro-labor political movement, and we understand "liberal" to mean value pluralism and constitutional democracy, they need each other and obviously always have.
The actual broader issue with lib-left coalitions that take place online is the specific idea of "lib" and "left" as cohesive entities rather than big buckets.
