Gripping Thriller + Book Recommendations: Author Interview of Joseph Lewis
My returning guest Joseph Lewis has written another gripping thriller, Black Yeii (The Evil One), which comes out on January 2, 2025. I had the pleasure of reading an early copy and it kept me turning pages even when I needed to get up and do something else. Joe created an intricate plot, complex characters, protagonists I could root for, and an enjoyable, high-octane read. This is the second novel I've read by Joe. Going back to find more. He has me hooked.Gripping Thriller + Book Recommendatio

Some very interesting findings in this Indie Author Survey. Average monthly marketing budget: $700.
Yet 46% of indie authors earn less than $100 a month in book sales revenue.
Whew.
And that math is why this is such a frustrating biz.

SPINES. F*** 'em.
microsoft is quoted in this article saying "technology has quickened the pace of almost every industry except publishing" which i think is wild because... while certain things in publishing would benefit from being streamlined... this isn't one of them.
I know querying and being on sub can feel like waiting forever, but I’d choose book purgatory over this. 🤮
