My 🔥 take for today:

Being a billionaire is a moral failing. You have more money than you could ever spend. You could do so much good with it, and you don't. When you run out of things to buy, you start buying people and power. When what you really need is a mirror.

Does anyone in our Bluesky #fiberarts community know any good tutorials for felting over mending on fine knit sweaters? I know it's POSSIBLE, I'm just not too confident in the Google machine these days, and while I think I did a pretty decent job, I want extra strength for my repairs.

This is less a function of layoffs than it is none of the reliable data supporting their position so they have to go hunting for data that does.

Not saying the layoffs have nothing to do with it, but I would bet a dollar they have data that's scaring the shit out of them so they went with this.
They’ve laid off so many people that the government is now getting its economic data from DoorDash.

@thebulwark.com, an interesting thing happened and no one is talking about it. Louisiana, which has always had jungle primaries for my entire life, is going to be having closed party primaries for national races.

I would love to hear your thoughts on that. Especially Tim, since he's in Louisiana.

I just got a lovely thank you letter from the League of Women Voters. They are thanking me for my donation in September in memory of Charlie Kirk.

Pretty sure a donation in his name to an organization dedicated to women would burn his biscuits.

What hits me a bit harder now, after the recent elections is this: "What they fear isn't [Mamdani], it's what he represents."

Mamdani with that FUCK YOU, MAKE ME energy I'm looking for.

Dismantling the system to build something better won't be easy. But it's work that's worth doing.
Zohran Mamdani: "So Donald Trump, since I know you're watching, I have four words for you: Turn the volume up."

Okay guys. Great fight today. Keep this energy for the next one. To that end...

Get some rest. Have a snack. Take care of yourself and our neighbors. You deserve the future we will build together, no matter how long that takes.

See you tomorrow.

I want a country that works for everyone, not just Donnie, Jeff, Elon, and that Ellison guy. Also the bucket of technofascist flop sweat that is Peter Theil. He can fuck all the way off.

This. This right here. My neighbors next door in Mississippi did themselves a solid today.
BREAKING: Democrats just broke the GOP supermajority in the Mississippi Senate!

In a stunning victory, Democrats gained seats in court-ordered special elections and will now head to Jackson to represent and fight on behalf of their constituents.

Underrated post.
“He doesn’t have a mandate” are you fucking kidding? Dick Cheney died the day Zohran is elected he has the mandate of HEAVEN

Good. Even leeches have a medical use. The rich serve little purpose beyond the exploitation of our labor for their own gain. Sometimes their businesses make things. Sometimes.

This actually makes them part of the social contract instead of above it.

How's that mandate, Donnie?
November 5, 2025 at 3:50 AM
So I know we're really excited about New York, Virginia, New Jersey, & the Pennsylvania supreme Court. And all those great mayors races, yeah?

But this...This is MISSISSIPPI. Look at that margin.
Johnny DuPree, a Democrat who served as the mayor of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, for 16 years, has won a Republican-held Mississippi Senate seat.

With 92% of the vote in as of 9 p.m. Tuesday, DuPree led Republican Anna Rush in the special election for Mississippi Senate District 45 by a 71%-29%.

And well they should be. There's this thing called the CONSENT OF THE GOVERNED. They have lost it.
The GOP was already freaking out about the impending Trump effect on the midterms.

Now they’re fucking terrified.
November 5, 2025 at 3:31 AM
Hey, Mikey. You govern with our consent or not at all. You can either lead, follow, or get out of the damned way.
November 5, 2025 at 3:03 AM
The road to the future will not be smooth. But we're going to walk it together. Damn the fascists and full speed ahead.

Yo, look at Pittsburgh.

Many thanks from your friends down south. Glad y'all have some sanity.

That's not a win. It's a spanking. And in public, no less.
