That Melania sleeps alone?

And that he thinks terrorizing entire countries and destroying NATO (for Putin) is funny?

Not the biggest crisis, but this "Board of Peace" nonsense being constituted as an international agreement that vests control in Trump personally even if he's no longer president is a striking example of something that's so facially illegitimate that it's inherently unconstitutional.

Correct.
Fukuyama: Trump is a bully who wants to dominate everyone around him. Trying to placate him with concessions is a fool’s errand. He despises weakness.

As an American, I say to my European friends: do not back down. Appeasing Trump with flattery has failed and must stop.

If history is a guide, next Trump will declare the Democratic party a domestic terrorist group, ban it, arrest Democratic elected officials and grassroots leaders. After all that is what Hitler did in 1933 to his political opponents.

One small thing I hope comes out of this nightmare is at least renaming the Department of Homeland Security. “Homeland” is not a word Americans use. It sounds like a translation from Heimatsicherheitsabteilung.

With “leaders” like Jeffries, who needs the repugnant opposition? Unfuckingbelievable.

Outsiders need to understand that if you’re observing ICE it’s an inevitability you’ll get threatened like this eventually. They led me back to my house again today in a really scary situation, which I did at least record and can share later if there’s interest. But that’s less scary than this.
Pretty strong elsewhere (I'm in Hopkins). Got pulled over twice, guns drawn both times, to give me "final warnings" to stop following them.

I'm starting to think that, until he's finally gone, I should repost on a daily basis this 11,000+ word piece I published in @theatlantic.com about Donald Trump's serious psychiatric disorders to explain why, as a legal and constitutional matter, he was unfit for the presidency.
In the six-plus years since, every mental health professional I have come across has told me that my essay had it exactly right. I think every word of it has been proven right many times over.

Even today, he's still only going to get worse.

Harris will not run again in 2028.
No candidate who has lost a Presidential election in my lifetime, has ever run again - except Trump. Not Gore, Kerry, Romney, Hillary - nor will Harris run in 2028.
Keep trashing every other Democratic contender, and you can practice saying President Vance.

It might sound silly, but I mean it: The easiest and most potent way for Europe to hurt Trump this year is to once again use its cultural soft power and to threaten a boycott of the World Cup. It would become a completely meaningless event and would hurt him where he is most vulnerable - his vanity.
