The Court next addresses the credibility of the parties’ evidence and witnesses. After reviewing all the evidence submitted to the Court and listening to the testimony elicited at the preliminary injunction hearing, during depositions, and in other court proceedings, the Court finds Defendants’ evidence simply not credible. Plaintiffs submitted a mountain of evidence, providing the Court with over eighty declarations, numerous videos and articles, and other evidence. Defendants did not rebut anything that Plaintiffs set forth in their declarations or testimony, even with BWC footage.
[FN 6] In another case considering some of the same evidence presented to this Court, another court in this district also found that the perceptions of certain of Defendants’ declarants, such as Hott and Parra, were not reliable. See Illinois v. Trump, No. 25-cv-12174, 2025 WL 2886645, at *5 (N.D. Ill. Instagram culture promoting subsistence and “tradding” is literally turning a whole demographic into ignorant antisocial citizens. You cannot subsist your way out of hunger without… a lot of investment (land, resources, etc). And it’s hard.
That’s the kind of kneejerk dismissive advice that makes me violent. Telling people to just grow their own food is tantamount to telling them to eat cake.
On Threads, the usual suspects are telling ppl about to lose SNAP benefits to just start a garden. As a gardener, I had to laugh. You need at LEAST an acre of land to feed a family of 4. Start-up costs are enormous. But yes, subsistence farming on the balcony of your rental apartment is the answer

Someone please explain to me how this isn’t a flagrant violation of SCOTUS’ decision in AARP that due process requires more than 24 hours of notice.
Attys allege here that a Burmese man & a Vietnamese man were summarily removed to South Sudan on ~12 hrs notice, in violation of a 4/17 preliminary injunction & a 5/7 order reiterating it ...

Yeah, I've never seen a more obvious case of asking academic-sounding questions solely to move a preferred policy position from indefensible to defensible. It is in purpose and effect a PR campaign to amend the Constitution to eliminate birthright citizenship.

i keep saying this, but it’s not 5% of the uproar that came from Biden’s debate.
