Personally, I’ll be there with bells on. Ignoring all of the distractions and voting for the independent candidate. That’s how you use a vote 🗳️ You should only use yours for whichever of the 2 candidates you feel will make a better president. #Aras25
I really can’t believe that I have to point out that spoiling your vote is not the protest you may think it is. It’s not a kick in the eye to the government - in fact it plays into their hands! If you really don’t want either candidate as our President, better to stay away from the polls. #Aras25

I’m very sad at the news about Manchán Magan. He was such a gentle treasure. A few years ago he was giving out lesser used words as Gaeilge to people to take care of and use. I got MAIGHRE, which he described as someone being “a bit of a stunner”. He was an absolute maighre himself, gone too soon.

I haven’t been able to read properly for months. Poor attention span! But I’ve missed it. This beautiful book though - read with the sound of the sea crashing onto the County Clare coast is reeling me back in! First Hugo Hamilton for me & it’s gorgeous. Thanks Hugo and @kennysbookshop.bsky.social
