Absent spending on AI, the U.S. is actually in a recession, confirms new report from OECD.

“People keep wondering why the employment market is weak, but the economy somehow chugs along. This is why.“

I forget where, but I saw someone say that casting magic in video games doesn't feel like magic because at a mechanical level, the spells function the same as attacks but at range and with AoE. What would make magic in games feel like magic to you?

I once knew a Federal bank examiner, and one time someone asked him why we had to KEEP inspecting banks over and over. He basically said every new batch of business school grads invents bank fraud from first principles.
AirBnB CEO calling it “vibe revenue” just 👨‍🍳 😘

The underlying cause of every bubble - debt masquerading as financial innovation - depends on not just short financial memory & speculative neophytism, but reinventing jargon of finance, like how each generation of kids has new ways to say same things.

I don’t know how this information can enter the system without exploding the bubble.

But sometimes bezzles visible for months before crash.

Black protag = usually won't be considered for a real award, but they want to get points so game is relegated to "impact" awards.

Amazing seeing what was jammed into that category.
South of Midnight is only in "Games for Impact" whatever that means at this point. Truly one of the best OSTs this year, and if you don't plan on playing, I recommend you check it out anyway.

Oh the FSAs.
The FSAs where you have to pay and get reimbursed.
So you're paying twice.
And have to keep track of receipts and take time to apply.
And assume you'll get the reimbursement from the federal offices they gutted.
And the reimbursement doesn't include the taxes you paid.

Those FSAs?

I don’t know if there’s a more perfect illustration of the utter fucking nonsense that creative pollution by AI will produce than this choice to illustrate the power of Paramount’s new “localization” and “customization” technology by face-swapping Brad Pitt into the lead role of GET OUT

Wild that even the NRA understands that when the gov't arbitrarily decides who no longer gets to have rights, it's the start of the slippery slope.

The NRA is still awful, but I'll be slightly impressed at this one thing for a few minutes.

How bad must your policies be when the NRA is like "Nah."?
Oh my god, Trump actually got the NRA to come out to defend trans people owning a gun.

Hey gang I've had to learn recently that the whole "burning out" thing is real so if you find yourself being panicked every waking second that you're not working on something, despite those seconds being very rare, you should maybe listen to the signals and take an intentional break before you crash
