I want to reiterate a correction: The national guard has not raised their rifles towards protestors today. The federal police, however, have been raising and aiming lethal weapons. Thank you @brandonbird.bsky.social for your eagle eyes, it's important we keep the facts straight as updates come in!
In my search for clearer evidence this is a military soldier, I've learned that it's most likely a federal agent reinforcement for the Santa Ana police. Haven't found the same footage yet, but this is a photo from those moments

All the people I still know in LA laugh and laugh when they hear that "Los Angeles is burning." I made a couple of maps to show just how tiny and localized the protests are. GOPers are working really hard to make an excuse for declaring martial law. People should be very wary of that.
