If the Young Republicans (where have I heard that name recently...🤔) pull this off, it will establish a dynamic where, at best, the majority party can force opponents off of any ballot in the country. More likely, it'll be Republicans who can do that, and never Democrats.

FYI: it’s, uh, *not nothing* that the head of an entire Christian denomination — here Rev. Karen Georgia A. Thompson of the United Church of Christ — issued a statement decrying DHS agents for shooting one of her pastors in the face with a pepper round, adding, “No one is safe from tyranny."

Trying to think of right-wing sci-fi authors who might come close, and not coming up with much. Ender's Game? Who owned Peter and Valentine's blogging platform where they wrote blog posts so logical that the whole world fell in line?

Easily the most off anyone ever was about internet discourse.
There are many good science fiction novels. Not a single one that I have read delivers a happy vision of the future in which aged right-wing billionaires control the media.

The dream of every Muslim is simply to be treated the same as any other New Yorker.

And yet, for too long, we have been told to ask for less than that, and endure hatred and bigotry in the shadows.

No more.

There are no circumstances where human beings should be without food. There are no qualifications that make someone undeserving of access to food. If you are a human being, you should get food. I don’t care about ability, job status, legal status, or anything else. If people are hungry, feed them.

The wet thud of my bloodied forehead slamming into the desk for an hour. Why, Jack? Why do you think "Antifa" was present in Weimar Germany? What reasonable conclusion might you draw from that about the present moment?
"Antifa has been around in various iterations for almost 100 years in some instances, going back to the Weimar Republic in Germany."

AMAZING: Nearly 12 thousand people braved the war-ravaged streets of Portland, presumably dodging molotov cocktails and machine gun fire, as they ran in the Portland Marathon this past weekend. No casualties have been announced, but this is a developing story.

don’t bother asking Black people to vote for you, donate to you or canvass for you next year.

Don’t bother.

Please.

And don’t be shocked if you get a primary opponent.
