We collect far less data than most OECD countries and we have no way of measuring a lot of stuff we need to measure. Carney knows that an ignorant population is a docile population. He's ensuring we stay ignorant.
Quite frankly, it’s outrageous that Mark Carney is cutting Statistics Canada. If he was Stephen Harper or Pierre Poilievre, I feel like this would be getting a lot more backlash.

Today is supposed to be my last day before a whole blissful 3 days off. But I just discovered I've made a huge blunder that I should have caught back in September, and now (in addition to the embarrassment) I need to spend the next two days trying to figure out how to fix it. I'm so so so tired.

How busy have I been this month? Well, I just opened my advent calendar for December 9th. Should give an idea.
I was so looking forward to the holidays this year, up until about two weeks ago. Since then, it’s just been nothing but grinding through work and burnout, juggling too many family commitments, and generally feeling like I don’t want to see another human being until about February. Of 2027.
