1 thing really stands out: all contenders are playing group games in Central/East regions. The West seems primarily here for USA & CAN as hosts, while FIFA minimizes travel for the big boys, keeping them farther East where business end of the WC will be. PST got mostly shafted on match desirability.

it's fun how many #mls fans rail against the "retirement league" narrative but these are still generally the most compelling matchups the league has to offer. This game is objectively FAR more interesting bc both of those guys joined the league.
