some video games i really enjoyed this year, in no particular order:
- blue prince. what a game.
- ff tactics. a classic restored beautifully, voice acting is truly a nice touch.
- silksong. worth the wait in every way.
- death stranding 2. kojima’s still got it.

Much of the Avatar bonus sheet looks genuinely terrible.
These are Commander staple cards with poor choices of scenes, cropping, and no touching up. The colors are often off and the flavor is hot or miss.
It's worse than the Final Fantasy bonus sheet. A big miss in what looks like a good set.

I don’t have a review forthcoming but I have adored these Dragon Quest remakes for doing so much work to evoke a feeling and experience that doesn’t have to be lost to time. Same with the FF Tactics remake. Incredibly thoughtful revisitations in a market full of cheap nostalgia
