Investors are backing enough LNG tanker capacity to put the world on track for 4C of warming. This is when we're on track for 3C of warming and aiming for well below 2C. Investors are backing assets that'd be stranded even under the worst climate scenarios. www.businessgreen.com/news/4519373...

The Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has upheld the ruling of the US CIT regarding the IEEPA tariffs being illegal. They are not pausing it because the Trump Administration is taking matters to the Supreme Court.

It is imperative that we assess the deals for both tariff and non-tariff elements, with the latter having the ability to create longer-term impacts. Happy to discuss.

If I had said this last year, that Trump would try and deport US citizens in his first year, all Republicans and a nontrivial number of liberals and centrists would have attacked me for behind hyperbolic, and fear-mongering, and of having Trump Derangement Syndrome.

And yet:
Trump calls for deporting US citizens: "We also have a lot of bad people that have been here for a long time ... many of them were born in our country. I think we ought to get them the hell out of here too, if you want to know the truth. So maybe that'll be the next job."

US, Russia and Israel. Interesting trio to use and claim this defence. R2P was, is and, will continue to be unlawful.
Let's be clear: Israel's attack on Iran is not simply a violation of the UN Charter. It is a manifest violation of it. Few acts are more unequivocally illegal than preventive (non-imminent) self-defence. So Israel's attack is both unlawful and criminal -- the crime of aggression.

Crediting Trump for India-UK FTA is rank amateur, at best. A significant majority of the agreement was concluded a long time ago with only some key areas of priorities for both sides outstanding. Attributing the conclusion of those to timing is mistaking correlation and causation. 🤷🏻‍♂️ #IndiaUKFTA
