I am not an optimist but every realist knows the question isn't rhetorical "Well, this sucks. Now what?" It's plotting the way forward from disaster
Remember: If we allow ourselves to fall into fatalism, or wallow in disappointment, or become resigned to what is rather than what should be, we will lose the long game.
The greatest enemy of positive social change is cynicism about what can be changed.

Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza’s mom, Elsa, has MS. She was doing well until, as she said:

“It wasn’t until five years ago, when I got Covid, that things started to go downhill in a way where there was no more hiding it”.

I also have MS. And this is why I wear a mask indoors in public.

Trump just fucked over rural voters in southeastern Colorado, hard. These are not majority democrats. Our ranch does a tremendous amount of business in SE Colorado and we know a lot of families there, especially around Lamar. Their groundwater is toxic. Trump veto'd safe drinking water for them.
