I had absolutely no invested interest in the Europa League Final but now I’m irrationally annoyed that Spurs won it as I don’t think it’ll mean anything. It won’t be a springboard. It won’t mean they suddenly sign great players. They’ll just be Spurs again next year.

Eight games unbeaten to end the season. Defence has be colossal all season. I hope we can bring in 4-5 forward players who can score goals and we can look to the top half next year. Danson needs to dip into his pocket and back Lowe. #WAFC

The former footballer Joey Barton has been handed a 12-week suspended prison sentence after being found guilty of assaulting his wife at their family home in south-west London in June 2021.
