OH THERE'S A HUGE SLAP IN THE FACE HIDDEN HERE. The $30/share offer is just so they can gain control of votes to approve a sale to Paramount. The ACTUAL offer Paramount has put forth is valued at nearly $44/share, so this is basically an offer to fuck me out of $14/share if they get their way.

Wild. Netflix has an offer on the table to buy WBD for basically $33/share. Today, we got a notice in the mail from Paramount offering to purchase our shares for $30 each. I've always understood the mechanics of a hostile buyout, but never thought it would hinge on buying out the smallest lots.

If you had mocked this up a decade ago as part of a work of fiction, every single bit of feedback would be that it’s too over the top to be believable, and that you should in particular remove the ad as being one step too far.

I spent the entire first day of the year trying to figure out if I could run Placid Plastic Duck Simulator on an Apple M4 Pro, and I haven't succeeded yet. Failures have included trying several variations on WINE, using Windows' own x86 emulation under Windows 11/ARM64, and QEMU running Win10/x86.
