Loading my work box into the trunk, my uber driver says "looks like work tools." I respond in affirmation, "yes sir they are." He then calls after my husband who is returning inside, to ask what kind of tools they are. 🙃

Happy start of tour from a (gasp) lady roadie!

i think this MLK day the thing to focus on is the strategic focus and tactical brilliance of the civil rights movement and the way it was laser focused on a set of achievable goals

My Mom gave up her Danish citizenship to become an American citizen in 2000.

This week she cried to me that this wasn't the America she gave so much to be a citizen of.

We stand with Denmark & Greenland.
Copenhagen town hall square, Denmark right now.

Massive solidarity with Greenland demonstrations.

Yesterday, these incompetent fucks were just going door-to-door in a neighborhood near my house at 8:30 in the morning. School buses were driving through trying to pick up kids, people were out walking their dogs, and people were taking out their trash cans.

I met @arimelber.bsky.social at the Seattle memorial for Jerry Garcia 30 years ago & tonight I'll watch him talk about the passing of Bob Weir on TV. Grateful that music has remained at the center of both our lives. But also, TIME, MAN.

A cop shot a person three times point blank and instead of the streets being deserted. They filled with people yelling at the cops [who could have shot them too].

KOSA has been defeated several times already and they keep trying over and over until the one time it goes through, at which point it becomes everyone's problem. It will be an unmitigated disaster if this passes and they say, well, sorry, now it's the law. Make sure your creature votes No on this.
Hey romancelandia and fandom peeps! If you live in the U.S. right now you should know that KOSA (along with a slew of censorship bills) are advancing through congress right now. If you care about spicy books and/or fanfiction you should contact your reps right now and tell them to vote NO on KOSA!

I have long contended and still firmly believe that every tour bus should have a copy of Spinal Tap on it. Thank you for the laughs, levity and love Rob Reiner.

If the 20 children massacred at Sandy Hook 13 years ago today had survived, they would be 19 & 20 now. Old enough to be killed in their university class room during finals week.

9 years gone today & never far from my mind. I would do just about anything to see one more Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings show.

If I've talked to you in the last 3 years, I've talked about Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Discovering @bufferingcast.bsky.social by finding their book at a St. Louis bookshop on tour, has made me feel like I found my people.
