I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

American Republicans are ideologically much more like people in Russia or Turkey than they are like members of European right-wing parties, and this only happened in the last 25 years.

Reading the quote tweets from @jamellebouie.net and others about the Fed payments system today feels eerily similar to early March 2020. Technical experts have upgraded odds of a specific kind of catastrophe from 0.1% to 20%, which is a much bigger leap than the remaining 20% to 100%.

This is how a product eventually gets disrupted:
- A paid ad for the thing I searched for
- A paid ad for a brand I didn’t search for
- Three paid pins for brands I didn’t search for
- Zero relevant on-map results
