I'm surprised I have yet to hear Trump tell people to use that bridge instead, which tells me it's less about Matty's shitty family and more about a final shakedown. He wants either fare money early, the property back, or when he gets nothing (hopefully) he treats it as an escalation.

It's a last second shakedown. The bridge is already an official port come March.

Essentially. That's why there's only a toll on the Canadian side. Once it's paid for then Canada and Michigan split the toll money. The bridge is equal ownership Canada and Michigan. We had to buy the Michigan land so Trump basically wants it back.

I know it's mostly a bluff. The DHS already designated Gordie Howe Bridge as port of entry beginning in March. This is just a way to shake out extra incentives on something Canada already paid for. This is what he does. And people pay just to get him to move on. I hope it doesn't happen this time.

It's one of the few good things to come to Windsor since I moved here in 2005. Everything else has been a downgrade. We got a hockey arena out in the middle of nowhere on the east end now instead of downtown. The vibrant downtown bar scene is dead. But at least we got a new bridge.

And even when it's close to opening finally in 2026? That empty chip bag has to try to stop it.

I know nobody believes the dipshit but what Trump says on the Gordie Howe bridge is laughable. Canada got these benefits because the U.S. did not want to pay for it. The U.S. rejected it several times before finally agreeing to allow Canada to build it and get the toll money.

I don't have much confidence in him being pushed well there. Especially with how his debut was handled. But he might still get some PPV championship matches.
It allows him to one day return to AEW as something Tony Khan cherishes most: a guy he enjoyed watching wrestling from the past.

I don't know if Hobbs is a mark for WWE as much as someone who saw his AEW journey hit a wall. So at his age (which we now know is older) he can either stay for more money or try to become a bigger star in WWE. If it doesn't work out? He left the right way and has an open door in AEW.

Those days are pretty much here. You're going to get people who dream to work for WWE like others dream to play for the Yankees and can't change them, but most now in the business see two major options to make good money in pro wrestling.
Looking forward to the day wrestlers stop viewing WWE as the end all be all. I get why they feel that way, it's just that WWE isn't that company anymore, if it ever was.

The best way online to keep anything 18+ isn't a face verification or uploading an ID. It's making the cost of using it a $1.00 returned fee from a credit card that cannot be pre-paid or connected to a bank debit. It can still get gamed but it works most of the time to keep kids out.
