I just got home from working out, so I go for protein shake and a nutbar for week starter 💪

Speaking of starter, it's now February. I'm thinking of Valentine's Day theme or Lunar New Year theme... or both? What do you think?

Funny enough, when I was coding my simple paddle logic, I spent a couple hours to get the ball node, but got me puzzled since it's not a child node.

That's before I found the get_node() function instead

Even if it's a basic logic, it's just as working as I expected: Following the ball until the world ends. Yet it seems that the paddle AI wasn't play by the rules

That'll be my homework for sure :)

Today was a whirlwind of work and a big family reunion to see a family member off for their journey overseas ✈️

So #GameDev, #IndieDev and #SoloDev folks, why I chose to write my devlog on very basic text editor?

Not only it's minimal to get me focused on just typing stuff, but also fast to open... and... it's in markdown so... I think I don't need using fancy stuff from Word apps or so :D

I had a rough time during work, so my plan was either continue writing devlog, play games, or take a rest.

I decided to blend it and do all three, all in phases, so I can focus on one thing for some time and then another for other time 😪

I took a break from my usual gamedev and create a design of a hero picture for my upcoming devlog article. This one I decided to rotate most of things following the angle of dashed line. I'm thinking of Pong-clone aesthetic when designing it :)

Well, as you can see in the post before, I was pouring my thoughts about player AI for my Pong-clone. Started from the simple solution, pictured the AI behavior, and wrote the small details and pros and cons of it.

All done while I was taking a working break. Glad I did that!

Another bug comes in! 🐞

This one, this starting round's ball behavior seemed weird. It shouldn't move that fast and sharp before hitting the paddle first.

Luckily the right hand me managed to hit one tho 😁

Should I pay attention on it now?

Rewatching the previous post, I noticed a bug that scores the opponent for player's slip-ups 🐞

They said bugs are feature, but it's straight feeling unfair

Well, #GameDev folks? Should I fix this now or put it into "Later Lists"? 🤔
