Good not to lose (and our goal was brilliant) but we threw away 45 minutes, and barely created anything afterwards despite going behind in the 10th minute.

I love that we can be pragmatic and dig in - but we don’t have that inevitability gene to kick the door down. A point gives us nothing today.

Nottingham Forest without Elanga and MGW would be a big blow to them. It would be tough to replace them.

Viktor Gyokeres is a battering ram of a centre-forward — with 97 goals in two seasons for Sporting CP.

Would his game translate to the Premier League?

Is he the kind of striker that Arsenal need?

@thom-harris.bsky.social analyses his style of play, Haaland comparisons and what he would bring.

I understand it was a delicate situation with legal landmines but it felt like it was not handled in a way that matches what should be expected from the club.

This cannot be just swept under the rug and forgotten about now that his contract as expired, especially with him seemingly very close to a renewal up to a few weeks ago.

Now that he can officially be named and talked about I do hope that there are more questions asked to the club about how they handled the situation with Thomas Partey.

One more important thing being ignored is Parteys horrible injury track record. We were fortunate to have him fit for almost the entirety of last season. But with increasing age injuries become more common.
As they say the most important ability is availability .

Aside from hoping this firmly signals Partey departure, can understand this really. Plan was clearly to have back up six in early 30s anyway, think CDM is probably a position for an older player, if we can land at this price or near doesn't impact some of the more exciting / attacking plans.

A player at a Premier League club has been accused of sexual assault by four different women and has carried on playing.

We can't name him for legal reasons.

“It’s a systemic failure,” says Nazir Afzal, the former Chief Crown Prosecutor for North West England.

Abde scored the most important goal against Fiorentina and now opens the scoring in the final.

I would not have predicted this a year ago.
