Half-time

Arsenal 1-0 Sunderland

Arsenal lead thanks to Zubimendi's goal. It was a lovely hit from outside the box and the sort of goal the hosts needed in a game like this. Sunderland have been very well organised and hard to open up.

Penalty to Arsenal, but the flag goes up for offside.

Jesus was just off.

Brobbey booked for late tackle on Zubimendi. Lucky it is only a yellow.

Interesting move from Madueke who has changed just one of his boots. The left one, if you're wondering.

Gabriel - once again - captains the Arsenal side in the absence of Odegaard and Saka. Become such a leader, huge transformation from when he first joined.

Arsenal team is out.

Calafiori, Havertz and Jesus all start.

No Odegaard or Saka in the squad.

By the time Mikel Arteta was having his post-match meal on Tuesday night - (burger, mac ‘n’ cheese and sushi!) - he was already thinking about today’s clash with Sunderland.

Attention must quickly turn to the title race for a huge weekend.

Been a lot said about the atmosphere at the Emirates - but fair play to Arsenal fans. Really tried to lift the team during injury time, and then went mad when the winner went in.

Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea

A dire game to watch - but Arsenal won't care. They are off to Wembley. A lovely goal at the end from Havertz, with a top ball from Rice to make it. Thought Rice really dug in during that second half and led the way.
