A fun little game is Islets and it’s great if you liked and then gave up on Silksong and want to play something in the same vein that doesn’t make you want to throw your console out the window. It’s hand-drawn and cute and the music is great and the art is beautiful and retro.

The spouse stopped folding and putting away his laundry because the cat decided to take a nap in the open dresser drawer for a couple hours and he didn’t want to disturb a sleeping baby.

We got the cat one of those whack-a-mole electronic toys and he loves it. Sometimes he goes crazy, smacking it and sprinting around the apartment. Other times lies next to it like an injured Jeff Goldblum in Jurassic Park and contemplates its inner workings.

I also went to look at the bear statue. It’s like 20 ft tall and on a 12 foot pedestal. It is indeed cool as hell.

Rediscovering Okonomiaki. It’s a Japanese savoury pancake full of cabbage. You can dress it up with seafood, meats, or other veg, or it eat as-is. Filling and balanced with veg/fibre/eggs, it’s cheap and cheerful and quick.

Massive shoutout out to whoever handles the Royal Canadian Air Force’s social media account. They responded to every single comment on their already very solid Trans Day of Remembrance post and they responded like this…

Shoutout to the single blueberry that somehow remained intact in my breakfast smoothie, despite being blended for an entire minute. Today, be the blueberry.

I wish we had actual left-wing parties. Any party that used to be considered “left” has been reduced to a spineless, hand-wringing centrist at best. I want to vote and participate but *gestures at everything*

I looked at one interesting toy ad on Instagram, thinking of Christmas gift ideas for my little niece. Now Instagram thinks i am a whole ass parent and my ads are now all kids’ products and services. Stupid algorithms.

I don’t always take my Vyvanse on the weekend but when I do, i get some shit done. And i need to get some shit done this weekend.

Pretty wild i spent the first half of my life on Hard Mode for no fucking good reason. Your parents can feed/clothe/house you and still neglect you in lots of ways.

My turn signal stopped working so i changed the bulb and that didn’t solve the problem. So, I give up. Car stuff is boring to me so I’m not motivated to investigate further. I’m due for an oil change anyway, so i’ll let them figure it out.

I saw this last week and it is COOL AS HELL
If you’ve been along Eglinton in the last few months you might have noticed something large and hairy developing in the distance. It’s turned out to be a massive Lincoln monument-style statue.. with a female grizzly bear on the seat instead. I spoke to the sculptor:

A giant bear sitting on a throne looms over this Toronto neighbourhood. What’s the story behind ‘Bearbraham Lincoln’?
The 10-metre tall female grizzly in a North York park is the mirror image of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C.
