Disco Elysium movie adaptation is shaping up.
Timeline Cleanse: Please enjoy this photo of a praying mantis that was sitting on top of my car windshield, but the angling and lighting were so weird it looks like a giant praying mantis wandering a corn field in Iowa.

Any of you getting random "reset your password" emails from IG the last few days?

Somewhat concerned we're now trapped in the "why do you still use Twitter" discussion with the Irish government rather than the far more pertinent "what are you doing today to halt Twitter" conversation, which does not appear to be happening.

Don't think I'm going to get to do a games of 2026 thread because I've to go back and plat a bunch of stuff so I guess it'll just be Resident Evil.

This has been a pretty hellish week, we can all agree, but GDQ has been on and has been a small ray of positivity and joy. Just people playing games really fast. I recommend it as a brief respite.

It's been a little while since us Irish have been reminded that our role is to worship at the altar of foreign direct investment beyond all else, preferably tech companies. Glad something is still following a reliable routine.

Not really arsed if Ministers or Women's Aid are on Twitter or not tbh.

I want them to demand fines and prosecutions, and I want the state to actually prosecute.

Elon doesn't give a shite if the Taoiseach is on his platform or not.

I wonder if this guy knows that he lifted the mood of a nation. We felt such a range of emotions, empathy, concern, hysterical laughter. This was the first thing to make me laugh til I cried after my mam died. A hero.

The thing people (and apparently the Taoiseach) somehow refuse to accept about Grok and X is that it isn’t a platform being misused or abused, it is a platform working exactly as intended by its owner. It is meant to be a racist, misogynistic, far right propaganda tool and it is
My word.

The Taoiseach, in China, says "platforms can be misused and abused or they can be used for positive reasons as well..." and says that should be considered carefully "before jumping to conclusions" on whether it's appropriate for the Government to be on X.

I have rapidly graduated from this stance to "every soul working for the Twitter/X European HQ in Dublin after this week should be charged".
On a national level I wonder is there a political case to be made for banning twitter in Ireland on the grounds that it hosts CSAM.

The Irish govt is so afraid of Musk's political power that it will do nothing to prevent the monetisation and dissemination of CSAM on X - to quote the odious gowl who now owns the platform, let that sink in.
Not only should they have left the platform en masse, the Dublin offices should be raided.
