It's a great cosmic joke that neurodivergence both runs in families and gets diagnosed based on parent reports. I was diagnosed at 30 because a man who has eaten potatoes every day for 57 years and a woman who collects loose buttons decided I was a perfectly normal child.

one function of capitalism is to funnel these types into positions of power, because if competent & kind people get into power they start taking from the rich and giving to the poor. capitalist leaders must be either evil or ignorant or both, only by mistake does anyone else get near power

Not sure who started the trend of video game protagonists having a sidekick character that is physically fixed to them to provide conversation and hints, such as Mimir or Dollman, but I feel like it directly inspired Elle Fanning's character in the new Predator movie. (I know C3PO was inspo too).
