What???
Putin: The US is interested in using the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant for cryptocurrency mining.

Per Kremlin, Russia is negotiating joint management of the station with US WITHOUT Ukraine's participation, with the option to then sell electricity to Ukraine.

Zaporizhzhia is Ukraine.

He does. But there is hardly anything the man thinks or says that is even remotely decent...

No one deserves the death penalty. Not even the Orange Fool. It is shameful that the US still have it in many states.
If what I’ve heard recently is true Donald Trump deserves the death penalty.

I feel more alienated by Trump's voters. Trump is just an idiot, and senile on top of that. The voters are clearly not the sharpest knives in the drawer, but they made an active choice. The second time.

Trump. But not only. Also all his voters as well as almost all republicans in Congress (a bunch of cowards).
Ya know, I wish the media would stop saying the "US is alienating friendly countries." Sorry, it's TRUMP that is alienating friendly countries!!

Christmas came early to the Russia scholars with Santa declassifying the Bush-Putin meeting transcripts.

That's 2001. Ukraine is Russian land, simply given away for no reason, as if USSR had not collapsed and there was no Ukraine independence referendum. And, long before the 2008 Bucharest Summit

One more thing about the "peace plan". If the security guarantees are real, Russia will say no. They can't risk being unable to resume attacking Ukraine at their earliest convenience.

All this talk about a demilitarized zone in the UA-controlled Donbas is incredibly dangerous. A recipe for disaster. It won't last. The Russians will immediately militarize it, possibly stealthily. Within short, the stealthiness will be dropped and UA will be in a much worse position.

For authoritarian leaders, "national security" means "regime security" and nothing else.
Why does Trump want Greenland? “National security.”

Why should Trump’s ballroom vanity project proceed? “National security.”

Why is Trump killing the wind energy industry? “National security.”

Why does Trump hate the New York Times? “National security.”

The pattern is ... not subtle.
For the White House, ‘national security’ is becoming the answer to every question
Donald Trump and his team have a go-to tactic intended to shut down debate over their goals. It's not working.

This is possibly the most laughable part of the current status of the "peace plan":

Yes, I would say the US needs the No Kings to become a Maidan. I'm afraid the regime won't step down legally.

It is the responsibility of the American people to stop him. Many Americans are not at fault, but they are collectively responsible for the deeds of their government. Even those who oppose it.

We're pointing our fingers at both.

Maybe not for being white, but definitely for voting for these idiots. You'll have to beg on your knees for forgiveness. And even that will likely not be enough.

Plus will influence how a generation of Europeans, or five, will view the US.

That's what I understand, yes.

I hope everyone understands that, since the Trump administration has started discussing ceding Ukrainian territory to Russia “because Russia has occupied it," the concept of the “Inviolability of frontiers” in Europe and beyond no longer exists.

I feel sorry for the horse.

Indeed. But I really fear what will happen if Trump tries to occupy Greenland. First, NATO will be dead. Second, fully plausible that Trump may have offered something else on top of--or even instead of--Ukraine. This is very very dark. Why don't those coward republicans stop this idiocy? Dems too.

Finlands sak är vår. Han förstod det tidigt.

Apparently, Landry's task is this:

The Greenland farce is getting out of hand now. Special envoy for Greenland? This has to stop. I suspect Trump wants Greenland and a russian nulla osta in Venezuela (and possibly elsewhere) in exchange for throwing Ukraine under the bus. edition.cnn.com/2025/12/22/e...
