London folks: We are trying to find the location of an old fuel works people tried to burn down during the 1926 general strike. On North Street in Charlton/Greenwich: the Medway Oil and Storage Company. Could anyone help us find where this was? Thanks for any assistance!

Crazy that we hear about Train Drivers who get £60,000 a year for driving a train.

But we never hear about the boss of Tesco who gets £30,000 a day and doesn't even pay tax in the UK.

Or the £250m a day that the likes of Amazon, Vodafone, BP and Shell don't pay in tax.

Let’s be clear. When the President defies the Supreme Court, it is the role of Congress to remove him from office. Full stop.

…and left women (talking from the UK) take communities with them 😉

That’s not my experience, and it’s not my point, either. My point is that wanting to fill roles with people who have been historically marginalised without addressing the structures that marginalised them in the first place is a deeply assimilationist approach, which changes nothing.

When free speech isn't protected by factchecking, it is no longer free speech. It's propaganda.

"The essence of propaganda consists in winning people over to an idea so sincerely, so vitally, that in the end they succumb to it utterly and can never escape from it."
