My lab website has links to other people's materials. Of course the markets were very different back then.

Out today! Our Editor (@akfetterman.bsky.social) lays out his vision for the journal. Specifically, he calls for daring research that refocuses on the human experience, tackles real-world issues, & causes (good) trouble in the field.

I saw it too, but now I can't find the post. Is it perhaps this?

Well... I never thought I'd have to say this, but my name is not John and I am not a senator from Pennsylvania. Thank you for listening.

I've been desk rejected because it's not "personality" many times.

Why is it that every time I accomplish or do something that I feel good about or proud of, there's someone on this here internets saying "Anyone who does [that thing] is a dodo butt"?

I find that many people didn't find the BS Index as funny as I did.

I'm in!

Still want to run the study: Does the word "priming" prime researchers to be skeptical of priming?

Will do! Thanks! I'll send a couple other (published) papers on wrongness admission too.

We have a paper under review showing exactly this. People rate politicians as more trustworthy & competent when they engage in wrongness admission (publically stating that they were wrong & have changed their stance) vs. refusing to do so, and it is decidedly non-partisan.

I'm a social psychologist who created & hosts a monthly event at a local brewery in HTX (North Shepherd Brewing) called Pint-Sized Science. Beyond that, if I am not at home or on campus, you can find me at one of the other 80+ breweries in the Houston region.

We're back on Bluesky! 👋 As many SPSP members have already found community here, we're going to be posting on this account more often - sharing regular updates about the Annual Convention and other opportunities. Looking forward to (re)connecting with you all!

I do use my office phone number, which I don't think I've answered in 5 years.

Dear Grad School Recommendation Portals (including my own). You. Do. Not. Need. My. Phone. Number.

Absolutely my reaction.
And if you don't want to do *boring* research with Erin, I am recruiting TWO graduate students

I am particularly eager to recruit one person who is interested in emotion research and one person interested in the science of big team science (e.g., see this pre-print osf.io/preprints/ps...)

As I sit here doing the final preparations for my talk today, I just saw a post saying "For the love of god, don't do [the type of talk I'm preparing]." So...this should be fun.

"Turns out, people thought politicians in Rome were a bunch of backstabbers. My how things never change."

I'd say that I fall in the political psych realm.

IT SHOULD BE CALLED US-APA....oh, wait.

Probably Social Psychological and Personality Science for me. But, that is perhaps because I enjoy that journal, so I submit there a lot.
