#xmas’24
We bought a fiber-optic Xmas tree in November of 2019, while my spouse was still recovering from chemo and radiation side effects. After nearly 6 years and 2.5 months, the motor that has been running 24/7 has given up. I'll have to take it apart, figure out what size I need to order a replacement.

My Roman Empire is how my advisor treated me in grad school.

Made me take my qual exam “closed book” and under a time limit. Then failed me and had me retake it over Xmas break. First three pics.

Last pic: my lab mate’s qualifying exam. Two questions. Turned in whenever. In front of us.

I bought a book of poetry for xmas

I've read about 24 pages which is a lot of reading, maybe to fast but some of the pages had only two or three lines, so maybe not to fast
