In a couple of months, make sure to check out the Mereway woodland in the Crane valley. We planted 500 bulbs last Sunday during our Volunteer Sunday - 100 each of Wild garlic; Wood Anemone; Native bluebells; Spring Crocus; Wild daffodils. It's going to look great!

Renaissance man and polymath Da Vinci was deeply interested in botany; many of his better-known works include signs of his careful examination of plants.

Just 51 days to March 1st, the first meteorological day of Spring, when the garden first bursts forth in a symphony of purple & yellow in particular - wood anemone, early narcissus, iris reticulata & crocus. Joyous!
Sending best wishes from Jane in Hampshire, U.K.💚

A wood anemone in a wood in Kent.

These open in sunshine, and although woods contain hundreds of thousands, this was pretty darn perfect.

Redford Woods volunteers planted 600 Bluebell, Wood anemone and Daffodil bulbs generously given by the council's parks and greenspaces team. It has rained every time, but the team kept going and we couldn't be more proud of their hard work and dedication. Can't wait for spring.
