the game awards sucks mostly because geoff keighly insists on being the face of a prestigious award ceremony that has no time for awards and the workers that make the entire industry possible, but it gave me a great opportunity to hang out with protestors from UVW CWA

Not gonna lie you all…. Things are about to get really bad for freelancers in an industry that is already facing collapse. We’re in the early stages of investigating offering insurance with UVW-CWA but in the meantime so many of us are going to get even more squeezed.

- 1% of your annual salary, divided into monthly payments (not 1% monthly)
- minimum $15/mo ($180/y) if you make less than $18,000/y.

The $15 minimum is for folks who are currently unemployed, freelancers, and the like. Dues are indeed collected monthly, so if you make $100k, you would be paying $83 a month (or $15/month minimum).
