#ti99
Side story, my first computer was a TI99/4A. What I really wanted was a C64, which all my friends had. I still loved that TI, although I've always wanted my own C64.

Bucket list item complete.

@jeriellsworth.bsky.social 's incredibly long computer. So lengthy I had to switch to wide angle mode.

Many super thanks to one of my steady clients, they sent me an early Xmas gift, a nice brand-new ASUS TUF Gaming A18 Gaming laptop.

This will greatly help me to be more productive throughout the workday, plus help with my on-going retro computer projects for the TI99, Adam, Nabu, MSX systems.

In 1981, as a junior in high school, I had the idea for what would become the Kindle soon after buying a TI99. If only I'd had an emerald mine from daddy and the ego of a small sized moon. Elon Musk is not a brilliant man, he's a con man.

When the TI99/4 was released in the UK, it came with a US TV set to use as a monitor as it didn't have a PAL compatible output. It was expensive about £999, I think about $1500. The later TI99/4a UK version did have a PAL output.

I has made a cable! Ti99 audio to stereo (double mono) 3.5mm jack. I have replaced the VDP chip for a Pico9918 VGA and need to access the audio that has been lost

TI99 PiPEB sidecar by JasonACT
The PPEB thingy is an amazing sidecar for our Texas Instruments TI-99/4A Home Computer. Using a Pi Pico W mounted on a board redesigned by dabone for SMT and running the firmware by the designer JasonACT it can emulate almost every hardware device.

So once I get this setup all together this weekend, I will be adding the MSX world into my long TODO list for developing new retro products for, along with the recent addition last week of my ColecoVision/Adam setup, and porting over my previous and current TI99/4A products.

Almost as desk-filling as a fully expanded TI99/4...

I got rid of several TI99/4a computers when I moved. I kept one silver edition. I have always loved the polished metal design of these. I also kept all my cartridges #ti994a #retrocomputing

I have a similar one, from the Contec brand. Not the best image, but a cute little TV. 😄
