I bought a teabowl from Japan the other week and the seller had clearly added an extra 0 to the weight (5.5kg rather than 560g). Their reply to my emailed query in Japanese had (I hope as an automated thing) a request to use the machine translation function for further correspondence.

Our final was held at the front booth at George’s, a bar in Iowa City. It was a lot of physics. He was responsible for a lot of woodfire in the midwest. He died in 2021. This is one of his “pretty” pots, a low teabowl or chawan. I probably have the recipe for this shino.

Education is often monetized. Who benefits from artist’s ideas?

Does a 3D printed version of Chris Gustin’s teabowl translate into meaningful learning about how to make a quality object?

First time playing with agate ware. You roughly mix two different clays together and throw the pot as usual to leave this marble effect.

Some pots from the last Highlander wood kiln firing - mugs, salt pig, teabowl & breakfast bowl. My favorite piece is a serving bowl but I just couldn't get a decent photo that truly showed the liner glaze. #thistleglenpottery #pottersofbluesky #woodfiredpottery #flyash #flashing #highlanderwoodkiln
