13. Digimon Tamers: Runaway Locomon
Easily the best one in this collection. Pretty much Digimon meets Speed. I didn’t know most of the characters in this movie but the plot was simple and fun enough that it wasn’t an issue.

Unlike the last one, I can actually call this a movie. Don’t know a lot about Tamers but I had no issues following along. I guess Tamers is when Digimon started getting darker writing because I hope you like dead dog stories.

When I took the screenshots to the blog, I edited the subtitles from Alice in Cyberland to include the term Metaphorize (But I ended up making a typo in one of them), but I ended up not doing it with the ones from Lain.
The Tamers' subtitles I had also didn't understand the term.

It was previously used by Konaka in Alice in Cyberland and Serial Experiments Lain with the same basic meaning, allowing a physical being to manifest in Digital Space. Although the exact method was different in each of them, the concept itself was mostly the same.

That would have been the only time the term referring to converting matter into data (Metaphorize) would be spoken in Tamers, even though only as part of the name of something. In the finished series, it only appeared written in a diagram near the end with no explanation.

When Yamaki orders Dark Lizarmon to be exterminated, the Technician activates something making the water tank shine blue; he was meant to say the name of a program, Metaphorizer (メタファライザー).
