I basically wake up and spin yarn all day

Tahkli has become my favorite over the larger drop spindle, easier to use while very weak & much easier to get consistent, fine output

Really fucking wish I'd bought an EEW, but SOMEONE needed all my money for an emergency. Not gettin' that money back lol

Today is the last day of #glasgtdf2025 and I am trying to decide what to spin for my last day. Current spin is Paradise cotton top from #hipstrings

I also have a lovely flower whorl tahkli that seems to spin the cotton for me… I love spindles!!!!!

Today’s #commutespin is back to cotton because I can do it in my lap and didn’t have room to do the drop spindle. And yes, I have both spindles in my commuting bag at all times.

Nee, auch am Flügelspinnrad nicht. Selbst die alten haben keine spitze Spindel. Es war ein Spindelrad. Ich kann's jetzt nur an einer Tahkli einer Book Charkha zeigen, aber das Prinzip ist das gleiche. Über diese Spitze wird gesponnen. Wenn man ungeübt ist und nicht aufpasst, sticht man sich schnell.

I didn't realize I could use any of that style shape with a bowl for some reason. I previously had avoided impulse buying eg a tahkli bc of the price point /falls down an eBay rabbit hole
