@ryantclarke.bsky.social & @chrisrifer.bsky.social used to do the most informative pod on Thorns & are prob a better resource for history/tactics, though don't do the pod anymore. Stumptown Footy is fine, but they're somewhat newer to covering the team/sport & are lighter on tactical knowledge imo.

The first ultra on the calendar is Stumptown Trail Runs. The 50K is Sat. 5/23. The race is full of singletrack; the kind of dirt ribbon you dream about when you dream about a perfect race. Pacific wrens are your soundtrack and ferns and firs your scenery. The Half Marathon is Memorial Day, 5/25.
