Keep in mind that the more we have actual progressives on the D primaries - the more we speak up - the more we choose the best candidates means that we have the power to push the party back to a progressive agenda.

I remember my rural hometown. Everybody voted Agrarian league or communist. Some weird teached from south voted National Coalition or Socialdemocrats. Kekkonen got 85 % of votes.

In Sweden , the SD which is nationalistic without being far right much like Afd, has coorporated quite well with the government. Nothing is gone, except a destructive migration policy. Now, the socialdemocrats is even on the same train. SD is not pro-Russia though.
