We're super grateful for the legislators who supported #FakeClinicsSuck AND the #GeorgiaRFA!

If they didn't sign, let's urge them to do better next legislative session!

Did your reps sign as co-sponsors to stop fake clinics?

Hoosiers: there's a lot of events across the state tomorrow, and many sign-worthy topics, including "Make Indiana Healthy Again", "Recognizing the importance of repentance" (HR53) voter disenfranchisement (SB10), making homelessness a crime (SB197), and more.

Tomorrow! Most of the protests seem to be at noon local time. Make signs, bring a friend, etc.

These are big-tent protests, and you'll see signs about a lot of issues. If you're looking for ideas, I suggest either a) impeachment or b) bringing home the men who were kidnapped to El Salvador.
Nationwide protests again this Saturday. Find your local protest at www.fiftyfifty.one/events

Great news! Conference committee struck the language criminalizing homelessness out of SB197. Public outcry still works.

Bad news! It could absolutely be reinserted into another bill, and #indiana GOP leaders have indicated they would like to try.

So we can't relax just yet.

The #indiana House snuck language into SB197 to *jail* people for sleeping on public property.

It's Dickensian and wrong.

Indy doesn't have enough emergency beds to house even *half* the people who need them. Under this change - folks unlucky enough to be unable to get one could face arrest […]

The House inserted homelessness criminalization language into SB197. The Cicero Institute believes shelters are the answer to homelessness. They're not - housing is the answer to homelessness. Shelters don't work. Call your Representatives, vote NO on SB197, buff.ly/FhIptTc

We're asking our House Representatives to oppose SB197. Mirror Indy did a good write up of the potential harm this bill could have on our most vulnerable residents. Please call your rep ASAP and ask them to vote NO on SB197.

Indiana bill could lead to 60 days in jail for some homeless residents
Language from a failed bill earlier this session is back as an amendment.

The circuit breaker program will NOT be changing. Gov. Cox vetoed SB197.
A tax relief program for low-incomes seniors will be phased out in Utah unless Gov. Cox vetoes the bill. But more folks would qualify for renter relief, which could help seniors stay in their homes. www.kuer.org/politics-gov...
Phase out of Utah’s circuit breaker tax relief might be a mixed bag for seniors
Some advocates are pushing Gov. Spencer Cox to veto the bill, but AARP Utah says it will help more people stay in their homes.
