There was a protest today against a rumored Salt Lake City detention facility.

Utah doesn’t have a detention center yet, so immigrants are held in some county jails and driven — or flown — to other states.

Earlier this year, Utah lawmakers wanted to help schools whose English learner populations had grown fast.

No school qualified under the law's criteria.

ICE told KUER the youth soccer coach was arrested for overstaying his visa.

But that’s a common situation for people at their green card interviews. Plus, overstaying a tourist visa is not a disqualifying factor for a green card through marriage.
